Five people have been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy in Stoke-on-Trent earlier this week.
Police have arrested three 17-year-olds, a 19-year-old and a 22-year-old in connection with the incident which happened on November 7.
Police have confirmed that all those arrested are from the Stoke-on-Trent area and have been questioned on suspicion of attempted murder.
Two 17-year-olds and a 19-year-old have been released under investigation, while a 17-year-old and 22-year-old remain in police custody.
The incident took place at the junction of Boughey Road and Ashford Street, in Shelton, where the victim, from Trentham, suffered stab wounds to his chest, abdomen and groin.
He remains in a ‘stable’ condition in Royal Stoke University Hospital.
