Zombies thrill crowd with Flash Mob in Hanley


Zombies descended on Hanley town centre today (19th October) as part of a promotion for Scarefest at Alton Towers.

The Alton Ancestors performed flash mobs to crowds all over Stoke-on-Trent, in partnership with Signal 1, to draw a people to Alton Towers over the Halloween period.

Having performed in Newcastle and at the Stoke train station, Hanley is their third appearance of the day, with further performances in Crewe and Leek throughout the day.

Matt Smith, from Signal 1, said: “The Alton Ancestors are scaring people, doing their dance moves, it’s a really nice choreographed routine to some good tunes.

“They’re professional dancers and they stay in character, which make them even more terrifying!

“Alton Towers has been transformed into a spooky park; there is going to be scare mazes, you can ride the rides in the dark so its makes them even scarier!”

Scarefest runs at Alton Towers from the 20th to 31st October.
