Two arrested in Longton following alleged stabbing


Two men aged 20 and 21 from Stoke-on-Trent have been arrested in Longton following an alleged stabbing and vehicle pursuit.

A member of the public called Staffordshire Police at 4.25pm reporting that a man had been beaten and stabbed on the A50 yesterday (October 17).

Four men were seen driving away following the incident in a grey Hyundai Estate car.

They were later spotted by patrol officers at around 8.40pm on the A34 Newcastle Road.

The car was stopped in the Talke area and one of the men was detained in the car.

Three other men ran from the car and one was detained shortly afterwards.

Two other men involved remain at large.
