The Alternative stage is set to confirm Reading and Leeds as the ultimate festival party of the summer with the help of the perfect sing-a-long in ‘Rave Karaoke’ and the time travelling thrills of Hot Dub Time Machine. And the party is set to continue late into the night with DJ sets from indie club night, ‘Propaganda’ and special guests, such as main stage Mancunian indie rockers, Blossoms.
Breakthrough UK pop-punks, Neck Deep take to the Lock Up Stage for a landmark headline performance after the release of their eagerly anticipated album, ‘The Peace and the Panic’.
Further appearances will come from the likes of PINS, Lea Porcelain, alt-indie blenders Fizzy Blood, and Irish favourites, All Tvvin.
The three-day event is headlined by Muse, Eminem and Kasabian. Further music names added as part of the diverse festival weekend include, The View, Dane Baptiste, The Rubberbandits, and Joe Lycett.
“I’m very excited to be playing Reading and Leeds, festivals that all the cool kids at school used to go to while I sat in my bedroom being a right little weirdo,” says Lycett. “Finally I’m one of the cool kids, 10 years too late.”
