A man has died at Stafford train station after being hit by a train.
Emergency services were called to the station shortly before 12.30pm after reports that someone had been struck by a train.
A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called by the police just before just before 12.30pm to Stafford Railway Station, Station Road, to reports of a pedestrian who had been in collision with a train.
“Two ambulances and a paramedic area support officer attended and sadly confirmed a man had died at the scene.”
Train lines have now been reopened with delays of up to 30 minutes possible.
National Rail expect normal service to resume at 3pm.
