Fenton mum Cody-Anne Jackson denies murder of daughter Macey

Young mum Cody-Anne Jackson has pleaded not guilty to murdering her two-year-old daughter Macey at their home in Fenton, a court heard.

Jackson, 19, of Packett Street, Fenton, will go on trial later this year after entering a not guilty plea at Stafford Crown Court today (March 20).

She appeared via video link from Foston Hall prison, where she is remanded in custody until her trial on Wednesday June 28.

Macey was found at their home on October 10 last year and she was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services.

The post-mortem examination showed no clear cause of death.

An inquest into the toddler’s death was opened and adjourned on December 2 at North Staffordshire’s Coroner’s Court.
