Jarryd Dunn and Jazmin Sawyers set for Birmingham Grand Prix

Staffordshire’s Jarryd Dunn will be looking to build on his 400m victory in Sheffield last week as he prepares to run at the Birmingham Grand Prix on Saturday.

The Birchfield Harrier claimed his first indoor title last weekend, but will be looking to beat the time of 46.90s to get into the European Championships in Belgrade, after his effort in Sheffield came up just short.

Trentham’s European Silver medalist Jazmin Sawyers will also be in action in the long jump, alongside some of Britain’s finest athletes in the second city.

Four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah will be gunning for the 5000m title, while Laura Muir will be looking to break Kelly Holmes’ British record over 1000m.

It promises to be an exciting day on both the track and field, as with the European Indoor Championships just around the corner, this event could prove to be a pivotal part of the season for British and worldwide stars alike.

2015 European Indoor Champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson has had to pull out of the long jump though with a minor hamstring strain, but she is qualified for Belgrade next month with her 2nd place finish in the long jump last week.
