A young child was injured after a three-car collision on a busy street in Hanley.
The crash happened on College Road close to Hanley Park, Stoke-on-Trent.
Three vehicles were involved in the incident at around 4pm today (October 31).
Eye-witnesses say a child, a passenger in one of the cars, was taken to hospital but his condition is currently unknown.
Witnesses described three vehicles involved, a Lucky Seven taxi, a red Honda Civic, and a green Toyota.
The taxi driver Yassir Hussain said he and his passengers were shaken but uninjured.
One witness told Staffslive: “There was a fire engine, fire rapid response vehicle, two ambulance rapid response vehicles, two ambulance vans, a police car and an ambulance doctor.
“I saw a young boy of primary school age who was unconscious.
“There were four children involved, all of primary school age or younger, and supposedly a newborn.”
Police closed off the road while investigating the accident.
It caused long tailbacks, and passengers of a bus were forced to continue their journeys on foot.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “No one has been arrested, we are continuing with inquiries.”
