Newcastle Town manager Ivan lodge has been admitted to hospital following a suspected stroke.
The 54-year-old has not been in charge for Newcastle’s last three games due to a holiday break.
Get well messages from clubs and fans across the Evo-Stik divisions have been pouring in for the popular manager.
A club spokesman said: “All our thoughts are with Ivan and his family, and everybody wishes him well for a speedy recovery.”
Director of Football Robin van der Laan oversaw two draws with Loughborough Dynamo and Shaw Lane Aquaforce and a home defeat to Chasetown on Saturday.
Lodge was taken ill on Saturday but details have only just emerged.
Van der Laan is likely to take charge again for Newcastle’s next game away at Romulus on Saturday.
Newcastle are currently sitting 16th in the First Division South.
