Stoke-on-Trent group In The Cards have released their new single, called Ships.
The alternative five-piece has gathered fame in their hometown of Birches Head after receiving airplay on BBC Radio Stoke.
They also won an Outstanding Achievement Award from The City of Stoke-on-Trent in 2011, and more recently performed a support slot for Metro Station at The Sugarmill in Hanley.
The female-fronted band, featuring 20 year-old singer Amy Colclough, lead guitarist Danny Jones, 20, drummer Conor Chambers, aged 19, keyboard player Jacky Hui, 19, and bassist Nathan Petherick, are currently writing their debut album.
But in between recording and touring, In The Cards have found time to present their fans with Ships.
The song is vibrant with a catchy hook, accentuated with the dulcet tones of singer Colclough.
Instrumentation is refined and each member adds their own flavour to the mix, which has made for a cohesive and favourable song.
