Adrian Lewis aims for 2016 success ahead of PDC World Darts Championships

Darts star Adrian Lewis is aiming for a better year in 2016 after an up and down campaign.

The world number 5 faces Jan Dekker on Wednesday in the first round of the PDC World Championships.

And he is hoping to finish the year on a high and add a third world title.

The 30-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent also praised fellow Stoke player and current practice partner Ian White for pushing him to regain his form.

And it seems to be bearing success in recent months with Lewis, nick-named ‘Jackpot’, reaching the recent Players Championship Final.

Lewis, world champion in 2011 and 2012, spoke exclusively to StaffsLive’s Andy Moore and said he will be have to be on his game from the opening dart.
