UPDATE: Third man arrested after shots fired in Birches Head


Staffordshire Police have arrested a third man in connection with a disturbance in Birches Head on Friday, November 13.

The man was arrested on suspicion of a firearms offence in the Burslem area following the incident outside the Birches Head Hotel at 10.30am, during which shots were fired, police say.

The 32-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent is police custody, along with two other Stoke-on-Trent men, aged 18 and 21, who were arrested earlier in the day on suspicion of affray.

Armed police were called to the area at around 10.30am in response to reports of an imitation weapon being fired.

They have since left the area and an investigation is ongoing.
