Two arrested after shots fired outside Birches Head pub


Two men have been arrested after reports shots were fired outside a city pub.

Staffordshire Police were called and armed officers were sent to the disturbance outside the Birches Head Hotel in Birches Head Road at around 10.30am on Friday, November 13.

Police believe two people known to each other were involved and that an imitation firearm was used.

The men have been arrested on suspicion of affray.

Chief Inspector Neil Hulme, Stoke-on-Trent Central Local Policing Team Commander, said there was no risk to people following the incident.
