Port Vale manager Robert Page said his team are confident ahead of Saturday’s away game against Rochdale.
The Valiants sit 10th in League One after four consecutive victories, and hoping to finish the month unbeaten.
Page said: “That would be fantastic. It would be a credit to the players.
“But it’s important now that we keep this momentum going and we don’t get carried away.
“We are in for a tough test on Saturday.
“They will be confident going into this game as well so we know we have got to be at our best to get a positive result at Rochdale.”
Defender Adam Yates said the team’s 2-0 victory over Blackpool on Tuesday, which brought them to 10th in League One, boosted the confidence of the players.
He said: “As players we are breathing confidence. We are winning games which is the most important thing.
“We kept a decent clean sheet on Tuesday in difficult conditions.
“That clean sheet gives us an extra boost of confidence.”
However, Yates said although Vale have been playing well recently, they need to be on top form for this weekend’s game.
“We have defended well in some tough conditions. Having said that we need to be on top of our game going up there.
“There will be periods in the game where we are under pressure, like in any game.
“Ajay (Leitch-Smith) is scoring goals, having been out on the side.
“Team-wise, it’s probably as good as we’ve had since we’ve been here but certainly strength in depth, it’s the strongest squad we’ve had since I’ve been here.
“At the start of the season I thought we’d struggle for goals but that doesn’t look to be the case.”
Another win could land Page the Manager of the Month award.
“If my name is associated with that, then brilliant,” Page said.
“But it’s because of what the players have done on the pitch that has got us here.”
Yates added: “Page has done a fantastic job.
“He tries to keep everyone happy which is difficult especially with the size and strength of the squad we’ve got but he has managed to do this.”
Kick off away at Rochdale is 3pm.
