999 and 101 Staffordshire Police lines down

Staffordshire Police are currently suffering a telephone failure which is affecting the 999 and 101 telephone lines in Staffordshire.

Engineers are working to repair the fault and  they are hoping to have the lines up and running as normal as soon as possible.

Police assure that 999 calls will be answered by West Midlands Police at this time.

People are asked not to ring 101 until notified by the police when the fault is fixed.

Staffordshire Police apologises for any inconvenience caused.
