Hundreds mourn at funeral of tragic Biddulph teen Jordan Burndred


Hundreds of people gathered at St Lawrence’s Church in Biddulph for the funeral of Jordan Burndred.

The 17-year-old died 10 days after suffering multiple heart attacks on holiday in Turkey.

Jordan was with his mother Nicola Everill, stepdad Danny Everill and sister Daisy at the time of the tragedy.

More than 200 people lined the street outside St Lawrence’s Church on Congleton Road just before 1pm today (October 23).

Many chose to wear the red and white colours of Stoke City – the club Jordan supported.

A horse drawn carriage carried the coffin to the church, which was also adorned in red and white.

Jordan Burndred with his mum NicolaSuch was the support for Jordan and his family, those in attendance spilled out onto the area surrounding the church.

The hymn synonymous with the FA Cup Final, Abide with Me, was played at the start of the service.

Jordan’s family and friends shared their memories of him during the service.

Red and white balloons were released at the end of the funeral.
