Donna Louise Children’s Hospice charity darts tournament heads to Leek and Rocester

The Darts for Donna Louise Masters charity darts tournament continues with two events taking place in Leek and Rocester.

Players from across Staffordshire are coming together to support the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice charity, based in Trentham.

The tournament consists of 16 knockout competitions across the area with the winners progressing to the next round.

Ball Haye Green Working Men’s Club in Leek will be the next venue to host one of the events at 7pm on Friday, May 8.

A second event will take place at the JCB Lakeside Club in the village of Rocester at the same time.

Those who win either competition will earn a place in the last 16, with a chance to play with a professional.

They will be whittled down to just four who will earn a place in the finals night due to take place at King’s Hall in Stoke later this year.

Those lucky few will have the opportunity to play with one of four professional players including Potteries darts legend 16-time World Champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.

The other players due to appear are two-time World Champion Adrian Lewis, Dresden’s Andy Hamilton and Basford’s Ian White.

Those who wish to take part must be over the age of 15 and it will cost £10 per entry.

Winners of each event will also receive two tickets to the Grand Slam of Darts event, which takes place in Wolverhampton in November.

The first event took place on Saturday, with Andrew Cope coming out on top at The Red House in Longton.
