Popular restaurant Nando’s is to open two branches in Stoke-on-Trent in less than a year.
The fried chicken company plans to open the first in the extended Intu Potteries Centre in Hanley before the end of 2015.
The shopping centre expansion is also set to include other national chains such as Pizza Express and Frankie and Benny’s
Now the company has revealed a second restaurant is to be opened at a retail park off Etruria Road before the end of 2016.
There are currently no branches of the global chain in Stoke-on-Trent, with the nearest in Birmingham.
The Etruria Road site is part of a proposed development of three restaurants and a pub that could create more than 100 jobs.
A spokesman for Nando’s told StaffsLive: “We’re really looking forward to opening not one, but two restaurants in Stoke-on-Trent.
“It’s a town that’s been on our radar for some time.
“And the demand from locals for PERi-PERi chicken hasn’t gone unnoticed!”
