Lichfield councillor steps down from cabinet role

Councillor Louise Flowith retired after 8 years for private reasons.

A Lichfield District councillor has stepped down from her cabinet role.

Councillor Louise Flowith will no longer be a cabinet member for operational services, but will remain a ward councillor for Little Aston.

She said she was stepping down from her committee role for private reasons.

Leader of Lichfield District Council, Cllr Mike Wilcox, said: “Councillor Flowith has been a stalwart member of our Cabinet team at Lichfield District Council for over eight years.

“In that time Louise has overseen our award-winning recycling service, tourism developments, including the Staffordshire Hoard on Tour exhibition, the development of new car parks and so much more.”

The new cabinet will be announced at Full Council on Tuesday 10 December 2013.
