Christmas event planned for Beacon Park in Lichfield

Santa in his grottoBeacon Park’s Museum Gardens will welcome Santa for an afternoon of Christmas themed celebrations.

Lichfield District Council is inviting everyone to attend, on Saturday, 7 December.

There will be an opportunity to visit Santa in his grotto for just £2 (a gift is included).

The free entry event is between 12 noon – 3pm.

The day will be full of festive music from the Garrick Youth Choir, dance performances, Christmas crafts and activities, stalls, and a donkey petting area.

Councillor Val Richards, Lichfield District Council’s cabinet member for leisure, communications and tourism, said: “Beacon Park is a lovely place to visit at Christmas time, and this event will be a great way to come together and enjoy the many activities on offer.”

A flower demonstration will also take place on the day for £5 a ticket.

This includes being shown how to create a Christmas arrangement of flowers, a hot drink and a mince pie.
