Victims of Burton A38 and Cannock A5 crashes named


Police have named the van driver who died following a crash on the A38 at Burton upon Trent.

Christopher Shaun Parrish, known as Shaun, 42, of Coalpit Lane, Rugeley, was pronounced dead at the scene after his van collided with a lorry  on Monday October 28.

It happened on the southbound carriageway of the A38, between Claymills and Branston, just after 2.50pm. The driver of the HGV van was treated for shock but was uninjured.

Witnesses are asked to contact PC Andy Talbot at Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 348 of October 28.

Meanwhile, a man killed after an accident on the A5 near Cannock has been identified as Carl David Bostridge, 31, from Bird Brook Close, Darlaston.

He died after a three-car collision sent him through the windscreen of his car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

An elderly man was taken to hospital with head injuries but a family of four were left unscathed.

Any witnesses are urged to call 101 quoting incident 313 of Saturday 26 October 2013.
