One Direction foiled Adele’s domination of the 2012 Brit Awards by winning the coveted Best British Single at London’s O2 Arena.
The award delighted the chart-toppers who include Staffordshire-born Liam Payne (pictured) and Harry Styles, from Holmes Chapel.
