The team at MClub Spa and Fitness in Festival Park will be attempting to re-enact the famous cycling route from Whitehaven to Sunderland, in just under 20 hours on Friday (March 23).

Firefighters have revealed that a blaze in Wolstanton was caused by a mobile phone charger being left plugged in.

Crews from Newcastle and Sandyford were called to the property in Lily Street at 9.45pm last night (February 5) after one of the occupants returned home and found the house full of smoke and the alarms going off.
