Mercian Regiment soldiers recognised in defence Honours
Four soldiers from the Staffordshire-based 3rd Battalion Mercian Regiment have been included in the latest group of defence Honours.
Corporal Carl Taylor, from Birmingham, has been awarded the Military Cross for rescuing three young Afghan children from crossfire. Other honours included a Joint Commanders’ Commendation awarded to Major Mark Harris, Sergeant Sean Geoghegan, Corporal Shaun Coates and Private Lee Stephens.
