Burton Albion boss hails ‘hungry’ new signing Damien McCrory
Burton Albion boss Gary Rowett has hailed new signing Damien McCrory as the sort of “hungry” player he wants to attract to the club.
The former Dagenham & Redbridge full-back has agreed a two-year deal with the Brewers.
He will now battle with Aaron Webster for the left-back spot and his manager believes the competition will be healthy for the team.
“We want some really good competition down that side,” Rowett told the club’s official website. “He can play in left midfield as well so it gives us that little bit of flexibility.
“He fits the bill of the type of player I’m looking for, he’s young and hungry.”
