Richie Worrall set to face Tom Perry in Bronze Helmet speedway clash
By StaffsLive Reporter: Stoke rider Richie Worrall will get the chance to defend his Bronze Helmet title before the National League Fours clash.
He will have home advantage when he bids to stave off a challenge from Dudley Heathens rider Tom Perry at Loomer Road on Saturday (June 23).
Worrall won the Bronze Helmet when he defeated the Isle of Wight’s Paul Starke last month.
Stoke Easy Rider Potters promoter Dave Tattum said: “Richie and Tom had already been drawn against each other for the Bronze Helmet which was to take place after the league match between Stoke and Dudley and it makes sense since both riders are here.
“It now means supporters will get to see 25 heats of speedway which I have no doubt will be superb with all eight clubs taking part in the event. We also now have two of the top riders in the National League in Richie Worrall and Tom Perry to race off for the Bronze Helmet.
“I’m sure with these two riders alone it is going to be one almighty race.”
