Woman airlifted to hospital after suffering severe burns in Uttoxeter
By StaffsLive Reporter: A woman has been seriously injured after suffering severe burns while trying to light a fire in her Uttoxeter home.
She was airlifted to a specialist burns unit in Birmingham after ambulance crews were called at around 2.30pm this afternoon (June 13).
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews treated a woman at the scene who had suffered significant burn injuries. It is believed she was attempting to light a fire when the incident happened.
“The patient was given pain relief at the scene before being airlifted to a specialist burns unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.”
