Defender ‘delighted’ after sealing Burton Albion switch
By StaffsLive Reporter: Defender Zander Diamond has admitted it wasn’t a tough decision for him to make the move to Burton Albion.
The former Aberdeen man completed a switch to the Brewers after his contract with Oldham Athletic expired.
With UEFA Cup experience behind him from his days in Scotland, Diamond will add a new dimension as boss Gary Rowett begins his summer rebuilding.
“I am delighted to have this opportunity,” he told the club’s website. “Immediately you can see the infrastructure here – the stadium, the training ground and Gary’s philosophy on the game.
“I could see it straight away what he likes and what he demands from his players and I bought into it straight away.”
