By StaffsLive Reporter: Tickets to Stoke-on-Trent’s Olympic flame celebration have sold out.
The final 1,000 places were snapped up this morning (May 23) and a capacity 12,000 crowd will now welcome the London 2012 torch relay to Hanley Park on May 30.
Musicians and sports stars will be joined by dance act Twist & Pulse for the Olympics celebration.
“We are looking forward to seeing thousands of people enjoying the moment,” said Cllr Mark Meredith.
“People who have not managed to get tickets to the celebration can still be involved with the day by lining the route into the park and cheering on some of our city’s inspirational torchbearers.”
The flame will arrive in Stoke-on-Trent on May 30 at 6:34pm on the Stoke Road junction of Station Road before moving on to Avenue Road, College Road, Cleveland Road and the Parkway where it will enter Hanley Park.
The following day the torch will leave after a visit to the city centre, Burslem and Middleport.
