By StaffsLive Reporter: A boxing night in Stoke-on-Trent is set to raise money for a children’s charity.

The European Boxing Federation’s Dangerous event at The Kings Hall on June 8 will see 22 semi-professional fighters battling it out to support the Peter Pan Nursery for Children with Special Needs.

The charity provides care for youngsters up to five-years-old with a wide range of disabilities and conditions – a cause worth fighting for, according to boxer Reece Jones.

“It is great to be a part of such a worthwhile event,” he said. “The work they do is unseen, however helps an awful lot of families in the Staffordshire and South Cheshire region.

“The support they provide for all the children and their parents is second to none.”

The night of boxing starts at 7pm on June 8 at the Glebe Street venue. Tickets are £40 ringside and £20 open. For ticket details call the nursery on 01782 715219 or email info@peterpannursery.net.
