Rugeley man dies in crash near Hednesford
By StaffsLive Reporter: A man from Rugeley has died after his car crashed off the road near Hednesford.
He was driving a silver 4×4 Mitsubishi along Brindley Road from Pye Green towards Marquis Drive when the accident happened at 11.15am today (May 22).
The man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, a woman in her 20s from Rugeley, was airlifted to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road was until 3.20pm while police investigated the crash.
Anyone witnesses are asked to ring Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 237 of 22 May.
