Man charged with attempted murder after Abbey Hulton incident
By StaffsLive Reporter: A man has been charged with attempted murder after an incident in Abbey Hulton.
George Simpson, 58, from Beverley Drive in Stoke-on-Trent, will appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court in Fenton tomorrow (May 23).
He was charged after a 49-year-old woman suffered puncture wounds in the incident yesterday. She remains at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire in a stable condition.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “Following the incident, high-visibility patrols by police officers have been increased in the area to reassure local people and keep them updated on the police activity in their community.”
