Pilgrims stop over at Stoke Minster

By Lotti Blades-Barrett: Pilgrims have stopped over in Stoke-on-Trent as they make the journey from Chester Cathedral to Lichfield Cathedral.

The Two Saint Way Pilgrimage follows 12 destinations and Stoke is seventh on the list.

The importance of Stoke Minster’s place on the journey is all down to the area’s Saxon roots.

David Pott, who organised the event, said: ” I think a lot of people see life as a journey now and pilgrimage is a time for you to step back from life and reflect.”

David Lingwood, Prebendary at Stoke Minster organised the reception for the group. Click below to hear an interview with him

They started walking on March 25 and are set to finish on April 1.
