Port Vale to hold fan forum with club’s administrators

By James Pearse: Port Vale Supporters Trust are giving fans the opportunity to meet with the club’s administrators.

The forum is taking place tonight (March 28) to help ease any fears people may have over the club’s future.

The Valiants entered administration last month and were subsequently deducted ten points.

Pete Williams, who is chairman of the Supporters Trust and organised the meeting, told StaffsLive: “Since I became chairman, we’ve always been open and honest with the supporters and that was totally lacking from the previous directors of the club.

“It was the only football club in the league where the directors didn’t want to talk to the supporters and didnt seem to think that they were very important to the club. I’m hoping now that this will all change.”

He added: “There’s been a lot of things put on the website, fan talking to fan, about the club. But the Supporters Club felt it was right for the fans to meet with the administrators, so any questions they feel that they want answered, they can ask.

“More people are coming to the ground but obviously things are tense until we know who, if anybody, is going to buy the club.”

The forum will be at Vale Park at 7pm.
