Stoke-on-Trent film makers get the chance to showcase their work
By Stephanie Kaur: Film makers from Stoke-on-Trent will be given the chance to showcase their work to top industry professionals at one of the largest digital film fairs in Europe.
Around 25 local film makers are already competing for the six places at the Sheffield DocFest event where they will get the chance to pitch their work to the likes of Sky and BBC World Service.
The successful applicants from Stoke-on-Trent will have a stand at the event, while anyone who doesn’t make the chosen six will be featured in a brochure outlining the city’s creative talent.
Mark Wootton, the culture development officer for Stoke-on-Trent City Council, said: “We are really all about showcasing the quality and the wealth of talent that we have got across the creative industries here in Stoke on Trent.”
