Stoke City boss Tony Pulis backs Harry Redknapp for England job

| March 2, 2012 | 0 Comments

By Abigail Reed & Beth Moorley: Stoke City boss Tony Pulis believes Harry Redknapp is the best choice for the England job.

After speaking to Redknapp recently, Pulis knows the Spurs boss would like the job, but he’s desperate to succeed with his team first.

After England’s 3-2 defeat to World Cup finalists Holland, there’s still speculation about the job.

But Pulis added that Stuart Pearce should be the man in charge for now: “Let Stuart get on with it.

“He knows the scene, he knows the set up and he knows the players. But I think everybody universally believes Harry should have the job.”

Pulis believes Redknapp should be involved even if he’s just an observer with Pearce.

But he would like to see the FA resolve the manager situation before Euro 2012 in the summer.
