By John Baines: Port Vale midfielder Rob Taylor says the club are confident of going on a ”big run” as the Valiants eye up the final League Two play-off place.

Micky Adams’ side are just two points off seventh spot as they prepare for a trip to Bradford on Tuesday night (February 14).

Another three points against the Bantams could propel Vale into the play-off positions and Taylor says spirits are high at Vale Park after winning their last two games.

He told Staffslive: ”At the start of the season we were scoring a lot but we we’re letting a lot in, and then we couldn’t score but we weren’t conceding but I think we’ve got over that, we’ve found a balance and results have picked up over Christmas and into the New Year.

”The lads are confident and we’ve got ourselves back into a position where we’re only two points off seventh spot.

”We’ve got 18 games left and that’s a lot of points to play for and if you can go on a big run like Stevenage did last year, you can pick up a lot of points.”
