Regent Theatre dance festival kicks off

By Kelsey Purnell & Charley Hill: A two week dance festival celebrating many different styles of dance has opened at the Regent Theatre.

Over 60 dance companies have been busy rehearsing for the 012 dance show.

Dancers of all ages will be taking part in the event, with different groups performing each night.

Troops from Hillside Primary, Street Dance Academy and Liverpool Empire feature in the line up. Special guests include Plague Dance Crew, a World Championship-winning street dance team based in London.

Performances run until February 4, and start at 7pm each night. Tickets are from £8 and are available online.
