By Mike Carter: Impact ABC boxer Nathan Russo will face one of his biggest challenges yet when he takes part in the Viking Cup in Denmark.
The 20-year-old welterweight, from Talke, will be representing Staffordshire against some of Europe’s best amateur fighters.
After comprehensively winning his last two bouts, Russo will be expected to make a big impact in the tournament, which will take place next month.
He said: “The Viking Cup is an excellent chance for me to prove myself against some top fighters and I can’t wait to get out there and show people what I can do.
“My sharpness and fitness is looking really good and I feel as though I am sparring the best I have done for some time.
“This could easily be my toughest challenge yet as it will be against opponents who I don’t really know much about, but I’m raring to go.”
