Strikes hit Dynamo Kiev’s travel plans ahead of Stoke City clash

By Rik Packer & Chris Edwards: Stoke City’s Europa League opponents have seen the preparations for their clash at the Britannia Stadium hit by the public sector strikes.
Dynamo Kiev manager Yuri Semin revealed that his side flew a day early because of the industrial action across the UK.
The Ukrainian side’s boss said that although the preparation has been hit, they cannot afford to let it distract them ahead of two must-win fixtures.
“It is very difficult and hard taking part in this competition,” he explained.
“We’ve only had one day of rest since our last game, the rest of the time was spent at our training ground.”
Stoke City only need to draw against Dynamo Kiev tomorrow (December 1) to secure a place in the knockout stages.
