Woman killed in Stoke-on-Trent road accident
A woman has died after a car and a lorry collided on a busy Stoke-on-Trent road.
The victim, who was driving the car, suffered serious injuries in the accident on Shelton New Road.
Paramedics tried to revive her at the scene after she went into traumatic cardiac arrest, but she was confirmed dead.
Elderly couple escape Burton firework attack
An elderly couple from Burton escaped unharmed after two fireworks were thrown through the window of a flat.
The incident happened at a ground floor flat in Shakespeare Road, Burton, at around 10pm yesterday (October 16).
