Stoke Potters ask fans to play their part in Loomer Road tie

Supporters are being urged to play their part as the Stoke Easy Rider Potters prepare for their National Speedway League play-off semi-final against Midlenhall.

Ben Reade will be the only change as he replaces Tim Nobes as reserve ahead of the first leg fixture at Loomer Road.

Team manager Malcolm Vasey is calling on the Potters’ fans to create a big atmosphere tomorrow night (October 1).

“This is a very important match for the club,” he said. “We want to progress into the final and the supporters have a big part to play.

“It really does help the team as the Mildenhall supporters showed at West Row last Sunday in the cup and I really hope that the Stoke supporters will come out in force to back the team.”

The Fen Tigers will also be unchanged from Sunday’s cup final clash, which means former Potter Jack Hargreaves will face his old team.

“We will be looking to hit Mildenhall early on and open up a lead,” said Vasey. “Mildenhall are a very good side and we will need to be at our best.

“I’m sure there will be some fantastic racing and supporters will be in for a treat we really want to win and we will do our very best to make it happen.”

Stoke: Simon Lambert, Jaimie Pickard, James Sarjeant, Tony Atkin (c), Tim Webster, Ben Reade, Gareth Isherwood.
Mildenhall: Cameron Heeps, Mark Baseby, Joe Jacobs, Lewis Blackbird, Jack Hargreaves (Captain), Daneil Halsey, Aaron Baseby
